The contest, for 5- to 7-year-olds less
than 60 pounds, consists of the youngster
riding a sheep out of bucking chute and into
the rodeo arena. Like the cowboy bucking
events, time and score count, but all the
contestants receive trophies from the sponsor.
Anything goes, and usually does, as these
boys and girls cling to the sheep as hard
and as long as they can.
Child MUST weight
in before they ride. No ropes allowed! Each
child may have one helper in the arena.
They
also must sign the release form that may
be turned in the day of the contest.
